Amaree had her crit tested again early yesterday morning and it was down to 22. At that point, they decided to give her blood. She has since recieved three transfusions, and after her third transfusion her crit was up to 43. She was really fussy today, and just wanted to be held. Andrew and I spent several hours just holding her. As long as we were holding her, she was calm. She looks so much better now that she has had the blood. We havent' tried any breastfeeding because she was so low. We really want her to get her rested and back to herself.
We also want to welcome Gavin to the world! Amaree's cousin was born yesterday morning, weighing in at 8 lbs, double the size of Amaree, but we are sure they will be good friends.
